Jane Shivick and Sarah Callinan are turning WHAT’s house into an opera house Saturday, February 18 at 1pm.

“We're both singing our juiciest pieces – in my case, high and fast and in Jane's case, big and dramatic,” said Callinan. “There's going to be showstopper after showstopper after showstopper. It's the most high-flying arias in the repertoire. It's going to be an exciting concert! I think I counted five or six high Fs that I'm singing.”

This weekend is an extraordinary opportunity for Cape Cod Opera lovers to experience the coming together of two exceptional voices - lyric coloratura soprano Sarah Callinan and dramatic soprano, Jane Shivick in concert for the first time. A relationship which began as student/teacher at high school in Worcester, has become one of esteemed colleagues and friends sharing the spotlight. Accompaniment for the performances will be by Timothy Steele, currently in his 20th year as a member of the opera faculty of New England Conservatory.

First CCO will be hosted by Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, Wellfleet on Saturday at 1:00 in a concert of arias and duets from the more dramatic opera repertoire of Puccini, Verdi, Strauss and Mozart. General Admission tickets are $25 and $35, which will include a post concert meet the artists reception.

Ticketholders to Dueling Divas at WHAT are offered a $10 discount on the divas' concert the following day. On Sunday February 19 from 3-5pm Jane and Sarah will appear in the intimate setting of The Cultural Center of Cape Cod, South Yarmouth for a more informal concert, with delectable appetizers, door prizes and auctions (you can bid on everything from a week in Florida to a baseball signed by Jonathan Papelbon).
