WHAT for Kids!, the family theater wing of Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will hold auditions for our 2011 season on Saturday, April 23, from 2 to 5pm, in the rehearsal room above the Wellfleet Post Office, just off Route 6 in Wellfleet. This year's show will be a revival of our 2005 hit, The Very Sad Tale of the Late Mr. Stiltskin, featuring a number of members of the original cast. For that reason, roles are somewhat limited this year. We're looking for actors to portray the following:
- Amos Fairport - male or female, late teens to twenties. A guard, but also the mysterious Mr. Stiltskin.
- King Sizecarton - male, late teens to twenties. Male. A King and a formidable presence.
- Jacob Grimm - age range (14 - 16) - male. One of the Grimm brothers. Must be able to do a convincing German accent and breakdance well. The ideal candidate will be somewhat short in stature.
- Charlie Schuyster - male, mid to late teens - a lawyer for the prosecution.
- Natalie Turnbull - female, mid to late teens - a lawyer for the defense
- The Bailiff - male or female, mid to late teens
- Two additional actors, male or female to play a variety of roles. Age range: mid to late teens.
Copies of the script will be available at the WHAT Box Office for perusal. Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Rehearsals for The Very Sad Tale of the Late Mr. Stiltskin will begin the week of June 20. The show runs from July 11 through September 1 with performances every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night at 7:30 for those eight weeks.
